Graduated!

As you know I didn’t post last week. This is strike two for the year, my first strike being finals week of winter term. But this time I have an even better excuse. In the last week I moved, got a new car, got a job, and graduated from college. So I was a little busy to say the least.

I am now a resident of Tualatin, and will be staging my triumphant entrance into the Portland music scene from this southern suburb. I have a nice new red car thanks to my wonderful parents and I am excited to put it through the craziness that is Portland traffic. I also interviewed and got hired with MEGA Music Entertainment,  a wedding DJ company for the Portland/Vancouver area. I am officially done with college, and finished out with a 4.0 GPA for my senior year.

With all of the events of the last couple weeks, I have successfully knocked out half of my new years resolutions. The remaining three are:

  • Lose 20 pounds
  • DJ in a club
  • Watch all of the movies on IMDB’s top 250.

I don’t know how I am doing on the battle of the bulge, but I’m hoping that being a starving artist helps. Weddings aren’t really clubs, but it will be practice with a live audience. As for the movies, I’m at 112 of 250. That means I have to watch 13 movies in the next two weeks to stay on track. That’s not going to happen. I’m going to be counting the top 150 as a success.

Now that I’m through all the craziness of moving, I am getting back to mixing and mastering my EP that I’ve been talking about and wanted to get done already. I should be announcing the pre-release soon as I have a lot of it finished. Other than that its going to be a search for a good day job.

Also, since I don’t have the radio show anymore, I am going to figure out something to fill the void of my playlists every week. It seems that people liked it when I told random stories about bicycle accidents and other adventures, so I might start doing that on Tuesdays, with the regular track or media bit on Thursdays.

Enough of my rambling. I will see you later this week!
